Bradley Wiggins will fulfill his contract with Garmin Slipstream, which runs out in 2010. There were strong rumors the Briton would move to Team Sky next season.
Wiggins finished fourth in this year’s Tour de France, a result that even surprised himself. He indicated wanting to leave the team and made not so flattering remarks about the quality of the Garmin team. Wiggins suggested it wasn’t strong enough in order to support a bid for Tour de France victory.
Now he put those rumors to rest. “Of course I will fulfill my contract,” he told wielerflits.nl.
Wiggins also suggested that his interview to BBC was misinterpreted. “Those negative comments about the relation with my team are complete and utter nonsense.”
Wiggins came to Garmin in 2009.
