Another big win for the young Belgian Wouter Weylandt of team Quick-Step. Today he won the last stage of Drie Daagse Van West Vlaanderen (Ichtegem- Ichtegem, km 145). This is Weylandt’s second victory in 5 days after GP Samyn last Wednesday.
Weylandt won the sprint today beating Danilo Napolitano (Team Katusha) and Roy Sentjes (team Silence Lotto).
“I’m very happy about this victory.” explains Weylandt. “It confirms that I’m in good form. The team did a good job and in the final Hovelijnck and Hulsmans led me up splendidly. I want to share this success with the whole team.”
Johnny Hoogerland of the Vacansoleil Team managed to hold onto the leaders jersey from his win in the first stage.
