The organization behind the Tour Down Under has released next year’s route. The Australian tour is set to kick off the Pro-Tour calendar starting on January 19th in Clare and finishing six days later in Adelaide City. The traditional criterium that marks the start of each edition is back in 2010, dubbed the Cancer Council Helpline Classic.

The Australian tour will be a sprinter heavy race with several flat stages and could see Allan Davis (Quick Step) defend his title. The most talked about person in cycling, Lance Armstrong, has already confirmed his participation to promote global cancer awareness. Newly crowned World Champion Cadel Evans is undergoing negotiations regarding an appearance in his home tour.
