Colombia’s Tour de France ‘King of the Mountains’ Mauricio Soler is a doubt for the rest of the race after a crash on the first stage here Saturday.
Soler, who rides for the British-registered Barloworld team, picked up several injuries in a crash on the chaotic 197.5km first stage from Brest to here.
The Colombian was diagnosed with a serious knock on his left wrist, and emerged with scrapes on his hip and left knee.
According to race officials, he is currently in a nearby hospital undergoing x-rays on his wrist.
