Skil-Shimano has chosen to stay a UCI Pro-Continental team for the 2010 season. Following their debut in the Tour de France Skil-Shimano announced that they would request a Pro-Tour license but notified the UCI and Licence Commission to end the procedure earlier this week.
The Dutch team hopes to be able to continue to compete for wild card invitations despite the addition of Team Sky and Team RadioShack. Skil-Shimano stated that they wanted more details about the UCI Pro-Tour calendar in 2011 before becoming a Pro-Tour team.
