German cyclist Patrick Sinkewitz has returned to the sport with the Czech continental team PSK Whirpool after a one-year suspension.

Sinkewitz tested positive for the use of testosterone in June of 2007, and was given a lighter sentence since he admitted to doping and cooperated with the investigation.

His former sponsor, Förstina mineral water, sued the cyclist for over 300,000 in reputation damages over the incident. The courts awarded Förstina 100,000 Euros in damages that must now be paid by the 28-year-old cyclist.
