Team Quick-Step’s Kurt Hovelijnck remains in the intensive care unit with cranial trauma suffered after a fall in training yesterday.
Apparently the accident was caused by a mechanical problem with the rider’s rear wheel.
Hovelijnck is being cared for at the Universitair Ziekenhuis in Gent (Gent Hospital).
