Team Quick-Step will be sending a stong team to Paris-Nice featuring Frenchmen Sylvain Chavanel.

In the Belgian Classics opening weekend Chavanel showed his form as he worked tirelessly for teammate Tom Boonen.

His super efforts in the newly named Het Nieuwsblad we’re left unrealized due to a crash that marred the final sprint. But in Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne the following day Chavanel was on fire again, and this time Boonen sealed the deal with a big victory for the Belgian team.

One can expect a big run for the victory from Chavanel – he will be on home soil and have his first role as team leader with Quick-Step in a big race.

Riders: Carlos Barredo, Sylvain Chavanel, Kevin De Weert, Jerôme Pineau, Francesco Reda, Kevin Seeldraeyers, Jurgen Van De Walle, Kevin Van Impe.

D.s.: Wilfried Peeters and Rik Verbrugghe.
