Endura Racing signing came to grief at recent cyclocross World Cup in Zolder

24 year old, Paul Voss, is looking at an extended period off of his bike following a crash at the recent cyclocross World Cup in Zolder. Voss was enjoying a bit of cross training over the winter, but it unfortunately ended in dismal fashion with the native of Rostock breaking the humeral head on his arm.

“I have to keep the arm still for eight weeks, but I can start therapy after only a week. I hope that I can race again in March,” said Voss to RadsportNews.com.

Despite a solid second season at the ProTour level, which included time trial victory at the Volta a Catalunya and two days in the race’s leader’s jersey, the German was left without a ride with a ProTeam following the squad’s failure to find a replacement sponsor for Milram by the end of the 2010 season.

While a ride at the top level was not possible, Voss did find a home with the up and coming British team, Endura. The Continental squad picked up a number of top talents in the offseason including Voss, Alexander Wetterhall, and Jack Anderson, to go along with a solid roster of British as well as International riders with the likes of Alexandre Blain, Iker Camano, and Jack Bauer.

Originally, it was planned that Voss would begin his season at the Tour du Mediteranean, but of course, that will now change.
