With the Giro d’Italia starting in the Netherlands capital Amsterdam, Rabobank, the one Dutch team in the race, have commissioned a special edition jersey to commemorate the fact. As well as the familiar orange, blue and white colours that the team wears all year, one of the side panels will be white and will feature the Italian tricolore. As well as the extra colours, the panel will also include a large logo of Right to Play, a charity that the team has supported for a number of years.

A number of the special edition jerseys will be sold on the team’s webshop, with the proceeds going to Right to Play. The jerseys worn by the riders in the Giro, complete with race numbers, will be auctioned for the charity after the race. Included in the auction will be a number of other items including a specially made Rabobank team bike from Giant.

Right to Play is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in some of the World’s most disadvantaged areas by using the power of sport and play. Through this the organisation aims to promote development, health and peace.

Right to Play is supported by a number of other teams including HTC-Columbia, whose riders often get involved in the charity’s work.
