Mosconi tosses a bike at another rider after a crash at Muurne-Brussels-Kuurne.  Gets disqualified.  Ineos DS after “I agree with the decision – it’s not something that should happen”.
OK.  Now what are you gong to do?  Discipline him a little and keep him on, keeping paying his salary.  He’s an enforcer in the old tradition of the NHL.  Keeping him on says a lot about you, Ineos.
Mosconi’s already been involves with about half a dozen incidents “that should happen”.

Love how the DS said something along the lines of we need to support Moscon more. Nurture him so he can grow, etc. No, he should have been axed long ago. There are so many other riders that would gladly take his spot and probably have similar results but actually appreciate their position and will act as professionals. Part of what separates ‘them’ from riders like ourselves (beyond the fact they push out 4x the power and lower heart-rates) as being calm, cool and collected while riding at their limit. That’s simply being a professional. I’d lose a freakin’ TON of clients if I acted like him, going off on tirades that make my 4-year old nephew’s tantrum look like a party. Throwing a bike at someone? Come on. The chainrings or rotor could have really injured someone. I already can’t stand INEOS but the owner’s need to have an adult meeting and throw this piece of crap out.

What Ineos could do that would get some respect from me: suspend Mosconi without pay for 2 months, starting now. Require him to go to anger management. Tell him to take it seriously or he’s gone next incident. Good anger management will have him looking back at the root of his anger. If he’s willing, it could be life changing for him and a huge benefit for all his life touches. (I don’t have high hopes but I have seen similar miracles. It can happen. And if it did, it would (finally) be Sky/Ineos doing the right thing.)

Those are all good steps but something which should have been done after his other altercations and racist attacks. He’s burnt his matches and needs to be PNG in the peloton. Continental squad at the most. He’s a walking Red Card.

Not much to add… he’s a punk and has already been given too many chances.

Ineos was stupid for giving him a contract, they guy should be one of those unemployed ex-pros relegated to racing gran fondos.

    Fire him.

    Now.

But it is Ineos, so they won’t.
