Antonio Cruz has signed a contract with Michael Ball’s Rock Racing team. The 37-year-old American started his professional career with the American Saturn team back in 2001. He went on to ride for the U.S. Postal Service team, eventually ending up back on US-based team Toyota-United in 2006. After a year on Toyota-United, Cruz found himself back on the post-Armstrong Discovery Channel team, and when the sponsor failed to renew for 2008 he moved over to Team BMC.

Rumor has it that Rock Racing is interested in signing Floyd Landis for the 2010 season. Landis rode for the OUCH Pro Cycling Team this year, and has yet to find the form to notch up a big result.

This wouldn’t be the first time Landis’ name was connected to Ball’s cycling team, since back in 2008 he worked as an advisor.
