The day after Chris Froome’s first professional victory, Team Barloworld rider Stephen Cummings sprinted over the finish line to only the third win of his professional cycling career. Second place went to Johann Rabie (Neotel), and Dennis van Niekerk (Konica-Minolta) came in third.

This has Barloworld continuing it’s dominance in the event in front of their sponsor collecting three stage wins, five jerseys, and a podium spot.

Barloworld manager Claudio Corti said, “It was very hot again today. The team took strain and worked from the start, but they gave me results. Cummings is in good shape and he deserved to win. Of course I am happy”.

Tomorrow will be a rest day for the riders. and they will recover for Sunday’s stage which features many big climbs.
