Retired professional cyclist Eddy Seigneur is the latest addition to team Astana’s management team. The 40-year-old Frenchman will be responsible for the logistics of Kazakh team. Seigneur ended his cycling career in 2005 and then became a directeur sportif for the French Cofidis team.
His biggest results on the road were in 1994 and 1995. In 1994 he won the Tour de France’s final stage in Paris on the Champs Elysees as well as the overall classification in the Four Days of Dunkirk. In 1995 he became champion of France and won a stage in the Circuit de la Sarthe. He also won the French national time trial champion three times during his 13-year career.
Seigneur began his career in 1992 riding for Gan, and then went on to race for Française des Jeux, Crédit Agricole, Saint-Quentin-Oktos-MBK, Jean Delatour and RAGT Semences.
