Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni has announced that they will be shortening their name to Androni next season. Along with the name change, the Venezuelan Pro-Continental team run by Gianni Savio announced their first two signings for 2010, Italian Damiano Margutti and Australian Matthew Wilson.

Wilson rode for the US-based Team Type 1 in 2008 and 2009, but this won’t be the Australian’s first time racing in Europe. The 32-year-old rode for the French Française des Jeux team from 2002 to 2005, and Unibet in 2006 and 2007. Wilson was Australian National Road Race Champion in 2004, and has won two stages in the Tour de l’Avenir (2001,2002), and stages and the overall in the Herald Sun Tour. His best result this season was winning the King of the Mountains in the Tour of Ireland.

Damiano Margutti, 23, rode for Nippo – Endeka in 2008 with his best result being eleventh place in the UCI 1.2 ranked race the GP Citta di Felino. This year as an Elite-2 rider he finished fourteenth in the Baby Giro d’Italia and the Coppa della Pace – Trofeo Fratelli Anelli, and his best result being ninth in the Coppa San Geo.

The team currently have fourteen riders under contract for next season, the biggest name being Michele Scarponi who won two stages in the Giro d’Italia and a stage and the overall in Tirreno – Adriatico.
