Saxo Bank’s veteran Fränk Schleck was given the best possible birthday present he could have today by his wife Martine Schmid, when she gave birth to the couple’s baby girl. Baby Schleck surprised her parents and demanded to be delivered a couple of weeks early to cheer Daddy Schleck and Uncle Andy on for the upcoming the Ardennes Classics.
Schleck who just turned 30 years old, will hope to have a third celebration in less than a weeks time by notching up his second victory in the Amstel Gold Race this Sunday. The Saxo Bank rider won the race in 2006, and has had a slow start to his season.
Specialized has reportedly put a rush on baby Schleck’s Saxo Bank bottles for Sunday’s race in Holland.
