Juraj Sagan, the elder brother of Liquigas-Doimo prodigy Peter Sagan, is rumored to be moving over to the Italian team this year. According to Cyclismag, Juraj, who rode for the Continental Dukla Trencin-Merida team until this season, could be making the move as soon as June.
The 21 year old Slovakian currently rides for the French DN2 Team Albert Bigot 79 amateur team, but will apparently sign a deal that will have him ride for the ProTour squad until 2012, when his younger brother’s contract will also be up for renewal.
His best result for 2010 is a seventeenth place finish in La Côte Picarde. His last win was the 1.2 ranked GP Boka last year, where he finished ahead of compatriot Martin Prazdnovsky and his brother Peter.
