Building form before first races of new season
Thirteen riders from the Ag2r La Mondiale squad will get together for a pre-season training camp on January 11th, with the baker’s dozen set to spend twenty days clocking up the kilometres and honing their form.
The riders will be based at the Village de Moissac-Bellevue in Aups, Var, and will include protected team riders Nicolas Roche, Rinaldo Nocentini, Martin Elmiger and Christophe Riblon, as well as Maxime Bouet, Mikael Cherel, Hubert Dupont, Ben Gastauer, Romain Lemarchand, Sébastien Minard, Lloyd Mondory, Jean-Christophe Peraud and Anthony Ravard.
Another wedge of riders will be taking part in the Santos Tour Down Under at the same time, and so they will be building their own condition in the sun.
For those in France, the team states that the riders will make good progress. “The relief of the Haut Var will help focus the training on both endurance work and on more specific work,” it stated. “Circuit exercises and time trial bike training are notably included.”
The team will also be joined by five young riders from the Chambéry Cyclisme Formation.
