Alessandro Petacchi can add another leader’s jersey to his collection as his LPR Brakes-Farnese Vini team won the opening team time-trial in the Settimana Ciclista Lombarda.
Petacchi has shown he is on good form with three wins to his name this season, including a stage in the Tirenno-Adriatico. He was amongst the leaders on the Via Roma placing 5th in Milan-Sanremo, and is surely honing his form for the 100th Giro d’Italia in May.
