After recently announcing the signing of Gert Steegmans (Katusha) and Sebastien Rosseler (Quick-Step), Dirk Demol and Johan Bruyneel have reached out to a younger Belgian this time, and signed Ben Hermans from the Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator squad.
Hermans, 23, has signed a two-year contract with the American team that will lead the charge for Lance Armstrong’s eigth Tour de France win.
The recent additions to the team indicate that Bruyneel is not only building a Tour de France team, but looking at life after Armstrong and keeping their new sponsor RadioShack happy for the long term.
