Armstrong upset with Outside Magazine editors for taking too much creative license
RadioShack’s Lance Armstrong lashed out at Outside Magazine today for doctoring his photo on this month’s cover. “Just saw the cover of the new Outside mag w/ yours truly on it. Nice photoshop on a plain t-shirt guys. That’s some lame bullshit. #weak” – he Tweeted.
His age, 38, and BFD – representing “Big F**cking Deal” – were Photoshoped onto his plain blue t-shirt without prior clearance from the seven-time Tour de France winner. The article claims his age as his newest rival, and questions whether the combination of that and the latest doping scandal could be the end for the American.
The editors added the following disclaimer to the cover: “Note: Not Armstrong’s real T-shirt”
Armstrong is currently being investigated by the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) criminal investigations unit following allegations by former teammate Floyd Landis that claim he was involved in systematic doping practices. FDA special agent Jeff Novitzky, the lead investigator for the BALCO case involving several professional athletes, has been appointed to the case.
